The book I’m currently writing—with the working title of Patterns—grew out of a number of experiences that occurred over a forty-year period and epitomise what Rumi, the 13th century Persian poet, Islamic scholar and Sufi mystic wrote: ‘What you seek is seeking you’.

 

It is a series of loosely-linked ‘stories’ that describe my search to find the recurring inner patterns of my life—there from the very beginning—that have informed my choices and behaviours at crucial periods and that have gone some way in helping me to answer the age old questions: Who the hell am I and why am here?
